The client wanted a premium fibreglass swimming pool installed in a small backyard with several access and design constraints. The solution needed to maximise space, minimise disruption, and integrate seamlessly with existing outdoor features.

The Pool

  • Model: Bermuda 6m Executive insulated swimming pool
  • Purpose: Year-round usability with efficient insulation
  • Design Goal: A modern, flush finish that blended with the existing deck

Key Challenges

  • No access to the back yard from the front of the house. The pool was lifted in over the rear boundary fence.
  • No fence removal permitted: The existing fence could not be taken down for access
  • Traffic Management: This operation temporarily extended beyond the site boundary and impacted the adjacent roadway.
  • Limited backyard space: No room for traditional excavation methods
  • Existing deck integration: New tiles needed to sit perfectly flush with the current deck level

  • A crane was used to lift a digger over the boundry fence and into the backyard
  • Excavated soil was scooped over the fence directly into a truck, avoiding damage to the property.
  • Our site team had to coordinate with local traffic management authorities while craning the pool shell over the boundary fence due to the imapct to adjacent road.
  • Precise planning ensured the pool height aligned with the existing deck
  • Custom tiling was installed to create a seamless transition between old and new surfaces
